| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on light paper with an elaborate engraved border of interlocking guilloche and geometric ornaments. To the left, a portrait vignette of a uniformed military figure is set within an oval frame, flanked by two circular counters each bearing the numeral '50'. The lower left corner carries a small oval vignette of the Argentine coat of arms, while the lower right displays a vignette of a rhea (ñandú); the centre field contains a handwritten promise-to-pay text in Spanish dated Córdoba, 15 de Noviembre de 1869, surmounted by the bank title and denomination in bold letterpress. |
