Obverse description	Plain typeset note issued under the Confederación Argentina, with the heading CONFEDERACION ARGENTINA across the top in bold uppercase letters. The central text body, set in letterpress, contains a promise-to-pay obligation by the Gobierno Nacional for fifty pesos at two percent monthly interest, redeemable at any customs house of the Confederation within six months. Denomination 50 PESOS is repeated in the left and right margins vertically, with the serial number and date of Paraná, August 1859 completed by hand; three manuscript signatures appear at the foot under the titles El Ministro de Hacienda, El Contador, and El Tesorero, with an oval dry-stamp impression at upper right.
Obverse lettering	CONFEDERACION ARGENTINA 50 $ 50 PESOS EL GOBIERNO NACIONAL promete pagar al portador de este billete la cantidad de cincuenta pesos, y el interés de dos por ciento mensual desde el día de su fecha hasta el de su amortización, admitiéndolo en pago del importe total de las letras firmadas en cualquiera de las Aduanas de la Confederación a plazo de seis meses.
