| Obverse description | A detailed architectural view of the Puerta de Alcalá, the neoclassical triumphal gate erected in Madrid during the reign of King Charles III, occupies the central field. The crowned Spanish royal eagle is depicted prominently to the upper left of the gate, rendered in fine relief.
