Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Jody Clark, is depicted in right-facing profile at the centre of the field. The Queen wears the George IV State Diadem, adorned with floral and foliate detail, along with a drop earring. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II·DEI·GRA·REG·FID·DEF· with the date 2019 distributed around the upper arc, all in raised Latin lettering. The engraver's initials J.C. appear on the truncation of the bust. The mirrored proof fields provide a sharp contrast against the finely frosted portrait.
