Obverse description Fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted as a right-facing diademed and draped bust occupying the central field of the heptagonal flan. The portrait is rendered with fine detail, showing the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH·II·D·G REG·F·D· with the date 2006 distributed around the effigy, and the engraver's initials IRB appear discreetly below the truncation of the bust.
