| Obverse description | Arnold Machin's second definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, depicted as a right-facing diademed and draped bust, wearing a delicate tiara and her hair elegantly arranged. The legend ISLE OF MAN arcs along the left periphery and ELIZABETH II along the right, with the date 1982 positioned at the base of the coin. The Pobjoy Mint privy mark (PM) appears just below the truncation of the bust. The deeply mirrored proof fields enhance the sculptural relief of the portrait against the heptagonal flan. |
