The White Greyhound of Richmond is one of the ten heraldic beasts associated with Henry VIII's royal lineage, derived specifically from the Beaufort and Tudor ancestry. Jersey's 2013 Queen's Beasts series drew on the same iconographic tradition that would later inspire the Royal Mint's own Queen's Beasts bullion program launched in 2016 — making the Jersey issues notably earlier treatments of the same subject matter.
