Obverse description Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the design by Ian Rank-Broadley, whose initials 'IRB' appear below the truncation of the bust. The portrait is set against a deeply mirrored proof field within the heptagonal flan. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper border, while 'BAILIWICK OF JERSEY' is inscribed along the lower border. The date '2013' appears in the lower field between the portrait and the bottom legend.

Reverse description Central device depicting the Lion of England rendered as a crowned lion passant guardant, rearing upright in a heraldic supporter pose and clutching the quartered Royal Shield of Arms with both forelegs. The lion wears St Edward's Crown and is shown in fine high-relief against a deeply mirrored proof field. The tail curls elegantly beneath the shield in a stylised flourish. The denomination 'FIFTY PENCE' is inscribed in a straight legend along the lower border of the heptagonal flan.
