Reverse description The reverse, designed by David Knapton, features a bold graphic composition of stylised pictograms representing the full range of Olympic sports in which Team GB competes. The field is filled with an array of sport icons including a football, gymnastics rings, a bicycle, rowing oars, a hockey stick, a sailing yacht, swimming goggles, a boxing glove, a badminton shuttlecock, a tennis ball, a basketball, and numerous others, arranged in an energetic mosaic pattern. The Team GB lion emblem and the five interlocking Olympic rings appear prominently to the left of the design. The date 2020 is inscribed in the right field, with the engraver's initials DK below it, and the legend TEAM GB is incused to the left.
