| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, after the fifth definitive portrait by Jody Clark, wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl necklace. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs above through the upper field, with ISLE OF MAN continuing to the right, separated by raised dots. The engraver's initials JC appear at the lower left of the truncation, and the date 2022 is positioned centrally in the lower exergual area. The design is set within the characteristic equilateral curve heptagonal flan of the British 50 pence series. |
