| Reverse description | The reverse features a fully coloured scene rendered in selective colour ink against a deep blue nocturnal background, depicting the iconic J.M. Barrie characters Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. Peter Pan is shown in left-facing profile, dressed in his traditional leaf-green outfit, cupping his hands as he gazes upon the diminutive winged fairy Tinker Bell, who hovers to his right with iridescent wings outstretched. Scattered stars and floral motifs fill the field, enhancing the whimsical, storybook aesthetic designed by David Wyatt and engraved by Matt Tindall. The rhetorical question 'Do you believe in fairies?' is inscribed in flowing multi-line lettering across the upper and right portions of the field, with the denomination '50' appearing at the lower centre. |
