Obverse description Right-facing couped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the George IV State Diadem, rendered in fine relief after the Pobjoy Mint portrait. The sovereign's name and royal titles form a continuous legend encircling the bust, with the date and mint mark also appearing around the periphery of the field.

Reverse description The heptagonal reverse features a detailed depiction of Big Nutbrown Hare, an iconic character from Sam McBratney's children's book 'Guess How Much I Love You', standing upright and cradling Little Nutbrown Hare in its forelegs.
