| Additional information |
Jersey issued a small run of commemorative crown-sized pieces for the 60th anniversary of the 1953 Coronation, a ceremony Jersey marked with particular loyalty given the island's status as a Crown Dependency — technically not part of the United Kingdom, yet one of the few territories where allegiance to the Crown predates England itself, rooted in Norman feudal ties stretching back to 1066. Gold-plated steel was the practical choice for a piece aimed at the gift market rather than circulation.
