Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, is depicted in right-facing profile bust, wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. The Queen's shoulders are lightly draped, and the portrait is rendered with fine detail characteristic of the Rank-Broadley series. The circular legend around the heptagonal periphery reads ELIZABETH·II·D·G REG·F·D·2015, with the engraver's initials IRB incuse below the truncation of the bust. The fields exhibit the highly polished mirror finish typical of proof coinage.
