Reverse description Dynamic commemorative scene inspired by Jules Verne's novel Around the World in 80 Days, depicting the San Francisco episode. In the lower right foreground, a figure interpreted as Phileas Fogg or Passepartout is shown in three-quarter view wearing a wide-brimmed hat. Behind him, a large steam locomotive dominates the centre of the field, with billowing smoke clouds rising into the upper field. A bison is depicted to the lower left, while an ornate building reminiscent of a church or civic structure appears in the left background. The legend AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS arcs across the upper field in smaller lettering, with SAN FRANCISCO in large prominent letters immediately below.
