Obverse description The fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, depicting a crowned and draped bust wearing the George IV State Diadem. The portrait, designed by Jody Clark, shows fine detail in the diadem and drapery. The sovereign's titles appear as a legend encircling the effigy, with the denomination and date incorporated into the inscription. The designer's initials J.C. appear at the truncation of the bust.
