Obverse description Fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, modelled by Jody Clark, depicting the sovereign wearing the George IV State Diadem and a lace-trimmed neckline. The truncated, draped bust is set within a beaded inner border, with the royal legend and denomination arranged around the periphery of the field. The initials 'J.C' appear at the base of the bust truncation, attributing the portrait to its engraver.

Reverse description Stylized allegorical figure of Britannia rendered as a cartographic outline of Great Britain, incorporating her traditional attributes: a trident held upright to the right and a shield bearing the Union Flag at lower left. The minimalist, modern design by Louis Wyon Thomas integrates the landmass silhouette with the classical iconography of Britannia, set within a plain field. The peripheral legend identifies the subject, the gold content and fineness, the date, and the designer's initials.
