Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley. The Queen is depicted wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, with the bust lightly draped. The legend ELIZABETH·II·D·G·REG·F·D· arcs around the upper periphery, with the date 2011 and the engraver's initials IRB appearing at the lower right of the portrait. The design is executed in a refined, naturalistic style consistent with Rank-Broadley's treatment of the royal portrait series.
