Reverse description A highly detailed high-relief depiction of a Tyrannosaurus rex striding to the right with jaws agape, dominating the central field. Beneath the theropod, the fossilised skeletal remains of a smaller dinosaur are rendered in fine detail, accompanied by period-appropriate Cretaceous flora including ferns and cycads. The legend TYRANNOSAURUS arcs along the upper periphery, while CRETACEOUS appears in bold incuse lettering across the lower exergual band. The engraver's initials RN appear in the lower left field.
