Reverse description A boldly modelled Tyrannosaurus rex dominates the field in three-quarter view, depicted mid-stride with its massive jaws agape, conveying predatory power. Beneath the living animal, the skeletal remains of a smaller dinosaur are rendered in precise anatomical detail, contrasting life with fossil record. Prehistoric foliage and ground cover frame the lower field, while the engraver's initials RN appear at the lower left. The genus name TYRANNOSAURUS arcs along the upper legend, and CRETACEOUS curves along the base in matching incuse lettering.
