Additional information

St Paul's Cathedral has appeared on British commemorative coinage before, but Jersey's decision to issue this piece in 2025 marks the 300th anniversary of the cathedral's completion — Wren's building was finally declared finished in 1711, though the anniversary logic here follows the south-west tower's last stonework rather than the 1675 foundation. Jersey holds the right to issue its own coinage under Crown dependency status, independent of the Royal Mint, which is how a five-ounce silver piece bearing Charles III's effigy ends up struck outside the usual London authorization chain.
