| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail to the hair and facial features, after the portrait by Glyn Davies. The legend CHARLES III · BAILIWICK OF JERSEY curves around the upper periphery, while the date 2023 appears in the lower exergual area flanked by raised dots. The unadorned, uncrowned effigy reflects the official first coinage portrait of the monarch as used on Jersey issues. |

| Reverse description | A detailed architectural elevation of Sandringham House, the Norfolk royal residence, dominates the central field, rendered with fine engraving capturing the symmetrical Victorian Jacobethan façade, multiple storeys of sash windows, dormer windows, and a central arched entrance. A finely patterned border frames the upper portion of the design. The inscription SANDRINGHAM HOUSE appears in two lines beneath the building, with the denomination 50p centred below, all flanked by three fleurs-de-lis arranged symmetrically in the lower field. The overall composition combines architectural precision with heraldic ornament characteristic of Jersey commemorative issues. |

| Additional information |
Sandringham House was purchased by Queen Victoria in 1862 for the Prince of Wales — the future Edward VII — using funds accumulated during his minority. It has remained private royal property ever since, inherited personally rather than held by the Crown Estate, which is why Charles III owns it outright rather than as a function of his office.
