| Obverse description | Uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail. The circumferential legend reads CHARLES III · PITCAIRN ISLANDS · FIFTY PENCE, divided by raised dot separators, running clockwise around the upper and right arc of the heptagonal flan. The date 2023 appears in the lower field beneath the portrait, flanked by raised dot ornaments. The design is attributed to the standard first-coinage effigy of Charles III as adopted for British Commonwealth territories. The plain fields and bevelled heptagonal edge frame the portrait in a clean, unadorned style. |
