| Obverse description | Uncrowned, bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing left, executed in high relief after the portrait by engraver George Doyle. The legend arcs around the periphery reading CHARLES III · PITCAIRN ISLANDS · FIFTY PENCE, with the date 2023 prominently placed at the base between two raised dots. The designer's initials GD appear incuse in small lettering below the king's collar near the lower right of the portrait. The finely detailed bust shows the King's natural features with hair styled away from the face, consistent with the standard effigy adopted for Commonwealth coinage from 2023. |

Pitcairn Islands coinage is issued under British administration but has no practical circulation function — the island's population has hovered around 40 to 50 people for decades, making every issue a straightforward collector product from the outset. The licensing of Beatrix Potter characters for royal and Commonwealth coinage has been a consistent revenue mechanism since the Royal Mint's 2016 Peter Rabbit 50p, and this issue follows that commercial template without apology.
