| Reverse description | The central design features the King's Colour flag of the Household Division, depicted waving from a crowned staff and bearing a crowned dragon passant upon a striped field, rendered in fine relief. Behind the flag, an elaborate decorative background of interlaced circular and compass-rose motifs fills the field. In the lower portion of the coin, the inscription TROOPING THE COLOUR is displayed in two lines, flanked on either side by fleurs-de-lis, with the denomination 50p below, also accompanied by a fleur-de-lis ornament. The overall composition commemorates the annual Trooping the Colour ceremony. |
