Additional information

Trooping the Colour was revived in full ceremonial form for Charles III in June 2023 — his first as reigning monarch — after scaled-back versions during the late Queen's final years. The Isle of Man, a Crown Dependency with its own coinage rights under the Treasury Act, has long used commemorative 50p issues as a revenue stream, issuing far more collector-targeted pieces than a population of 85,000 could ever circulate.

Copper-nickel 50p production for the island is contracted through Pobjoy Mint or the Tower Mint depending on the series; attribution matters for die quality.
