| Obverse description | Uncrowned, bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief in the contemporary portrait by engraver Martin Jennings. The king is depicted in a mature, naturalistic style with a collar visible at the truncation. The circumferential legend reads 'KING CHARLES III · ISLE OF MAN' around the upper arc, with the date '2024' positioned centrally at the base, flanked by raised dots serving as punctuation marks. |

The Isle of Man has long exploited its status as a Crown Dependency — outside the UK but under the Crown — to issue commemorative coinage with far greater creative latitude than the Royal Mint allows itself. This 50p marks Charles III's coronation, which took place on 6 May 2023, making a 2024-dated issue a second-year commemoration rather than a true coronation-year strike.
