Additional information

The Isle of Man has long exploited its status as a Crown Dependency — outside the UK but under the Crown — to issue commemorative coinage with far greater creative latitude than the Royal Mint allows itself. This 50p marks Charles III's coronation, which took place on 6 May 2023, making a 2024-dated issue a second-year commemoration rather than a true coronation-year strike.
