Obverse description Uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III, engraved by Glyn Davies, occupies the central field of this equilateral curve heptagonal flan. The portrait depicts the King with natural hair and no diadem, rendered in high relief with fine detailing of facial features. The circumferential legend reads KING CHARLES III · ISLE OF MAN, distributed across the upper arc, with the date 2023 inscribed at the bottom of the coin between two raised dots. The engraver's initials GD appear discreetly beneath the truncation of the portrait.
