Jersey's annual Christmas 50p series has run since 2019, issued by the Bailiwick's Treasury as legal tender struck by The Royal Mint on contract. The Father Christmas design slots into a collector sequence rather than any circulating issue — production is entirely proof, entirely subscription-driven, and no circulation strikes exist for this type.
KM#482a distinguishes the silver proof from the base metal counterpart, KM#482, struck in cupro-nickel for general issue.
