| Obverse description | Uncrowned right-facing effigy of King Charles III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail showing the King's mature features, swept hair, and open collar. The legend KING CHARLES III curves along the upper left periphery, while ISLE OF MAN arcs along the upper right, both inscriptions following the heptagonal contour of the coin. The date 2024 appears in the lower field beneath the portrait, flanked by two small raised dots. The portrait is the official definitive effigy by Martin Jennings, engraved here by Craig Wilson, and the polished proof fields provide strong contrast against the sculpted relief. |
