| Reverse description | The reverse features a bold graphic design commemorating Concorde's inaugural commercial flights on 21 January 1976. A partial world map fills the field, with two finely detailed side-profile renderings of the Concorde aircraft depicted in flight — one traversing the upper portion of the map above the text, facing left, and a second in the lower portion facing right. The central band bears the large incuse inscription CONCORDE in bold block lettering, with the destination cities LONDON, PARIS, BAHRAIN, and RIO DE JANEIRO labelled at their respective positions on the map. The date 21 JANUARY / 1976 is inscribed in the lower exergue, and the designer's initials AR DO appear in the lower right field. |
