Additional information

Guernsey issues commemorative 50 pence pieces under its own authority as a Crown Dependency, independent of Royal Mint production. The island has a long history of issuing themed collector coinage — Christmas-specific pieces have become a reliable annual series, with selective colour printing applied post-strike rather than during the minting process itself.
