Additional information

Jersey's 2023 commemorative program produced several 50 pence pieces tied to the 70th anniversary of Elizabeth II's 1953 coronation, each pairing that event with a different Commonwealth policing body. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police connection is straightforward: a detachment of Mounties participated in the coronation procession through London, one of the more visually distinctive contingents in the parade.

At 2.5 grams, this is among the lighter .999 silver 50 pence issues Jersey has produced — worth noting only because the format is increasingly used for low-mintage commemoratives where collector appeal, not bullion value, drives the series.
