| Reverse description | Printed in blue-green intaglio, the reverse centres on an oval vignette of a steamship at sea enclosed within an elaborate guilloche frame bearing the bank name in a circular legend. Large numeral 50 counters within ornate cartouches flank the central motif on either side, while Chinese denomination characters (伍拾／圓) appear in the upper corners. The inscription affirming payability in the Colony of Macau runs above the central vignette, with the Portuguese denomination lettered along the lower border. |
