Additional information

The Macau Grand Prix, first run in 1954 on public roads through the Guia circuit, was initially dominated by motorcycle and Formula Three machinery before graduating to Formula Three as its signature class in the 1980s. By 2003 the race had outlasted nearly every other street circuit of its generation. The 50th running drew particular attention because Ayrton Senna had won here in 1983, a result that helped propel him toward Formula One.

KM#128 was struck to the standard 28.28g .925 silver specification that the Macau Monetary Authority used consistently for commemorative pataca issues of this period.
