Obverse description Central field features a square Sri Yantra-style geometric design composed of intersecting compartments bearing the Devanagari inscription of King Tribhuwan Bir Bikram's name and titles, with a trident (trishul) at the centre within a circular medallion. Ritual implements including a conch shell, lotus flower, and ceremonial objects occupy the corner compartments of the yantra. The legend 'श्री श्री' appears at the top of the field above the yantra, and the Bikram Sambat date '१९८९' (VS 1989) is inscribed at the base. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted border, with decorative scrollwork flanking the central motif.

Below the wreath, the denomination inscription 'पचास पैसा' (Fifty Paisa) is rendered in Devanagari script across two lines. Surrounding the central circle is an ornate scalloped border divided into petal-shaped lobes, each containing Devanagari text with the royal honorifics and king's name. The field is enclosed by a fine dotted rim.
