Obverse description Central device depicts the ornate royal crown of Nepal, shown in three-quarter view with elaborate jewelled detailing and a feathered plume at the apex. A crescent moon appears to the left and a sun symbol to the right of the crown, traditional emblems of the Nepalese monarchy. Devanagari legend encircles the design, with the country name 'नेपाल' (Nepal) and the Vikrama Samvat date '२०१३' (2013 VS) inscribed in the lower field.

Reverse description Central field features a khukuri (Nepalese ceremonial dagger) oriented point downward, flanked symmetrically by two floral garlands descending from above and framing the blade. The denomination '५०' (50) and the inscription 'पचास पैसा' (Pachàs Paisa) appear within a central circular border. An outer decorative border of stylised petal-shaped panels carries the royal honorific legend 'श्री श्री श्री' repeated around the circumference.
