Obverse description Central device depicts the Minar-e-Pakistan monument, flanked by a crescent moon and star in the field, rendered in a stylized architectural manner. The legend in Urdu script reads 'Hukumat-e-Pakistan' (Government of Pakistan) along the upper periphery, with the date inscribed at the base. The design is set within a plain field with a reeded border. Note: varieties in date size are known to exist across the series.

Reverse description The numeral '50' in large Latin digits occupies the upper portion of a central medallion, below which the denomination 'پیسہ' (Paisa) is inscribed in Urdu script. The central medallion is enclosed within an ornate floral and foliate wreath composed of stylized scrollwork and rosette motifs, framed by a beaded inner border. The outer rim is reeded.
