Obverse description The obverse features a large crowned royal cipher of King Haakon VII (H7) repeated four times in the quadrants of an ornate cross, which radiates from a central round hole. Each monogram is rendered in an interlaced Gothic style, surmounted at the top by the Norwegian royal crown. The arms of the cross divide the field into four sections, each occupied by a crowned H7 cipher. The peripheral legend ALT FOR NORGE (Everything for Norway) arcs around the upper portion of the coin, with the inscription interrupted by the cross design, and the entire design is bordered by a beaded inner ring and a milled outer rim.
