Obverse description The obverse depicts a panoramic skyline of the three sub-municipalities of Gemeente Nijlen: the ornate City Hall of Kessel at left, the church of St. Lambertus with its prominent steeple at center, and the Kruiskensberg wayside shrine of Bevel at right, all in raised relief above horizontal line devices in the exergue. The legend GEMEENTE NIJLEN arcs along the upper rim, with KESSEL * NIJLEN * BEVEL inscribed below the architectural devices.
