| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a detailed topographical map of the Kreis der Eder district at centre, printed in black with a yellow-ochre underprint highlighting the district boundary. To the lower left, the heraldic shield of Waldeck — gold field bearing a black eight-pointed star — is displayed on a stone cartouche beneath the legend "Kreisstadt Waldeck"; a matching shield in reverse tinctures (black field, gold star) at lower right bears "Kreisstadt Bad Wildungen". The denomination "Fünfzig Mark" and numeral "50" appear in bold Gothic letterpress at the upper left, while the upper right carries the validity clause and issuance date "Bad Wildungen, 15.11.1922" above manuscript signatures of the Landrat and Kreisvorstand; a circular Kreissparkasse control stamp is applied in violet ink at lower centre. |
