| Obverse description | Cream thin paper with a dark green guilloche underprint and black letterpress text throughout. The note is divided into three vertical panels: the left and right panels each carry the denomination numeral '50' above and below the word 'MARK' within a ruled frame, while the central panel bears the issuer inscription in bold serif type against a finely patterned guilloche ground. This example has been cancelled by two vertical oval perforation punches at center, bears a dry embossed stamp in the lower center area, and carries a blue ink overstamp reading 'UNGÜLTIG' at the lower right. |
