Reverse description Central field features the Savoy coat of arms — a cross argent on a field azure — displayed on a heraldic shield surmounted by the Royal Crown of Italy. The shield is flanked by an ornate collar and set within a wreath composed of an olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right, tied at the base with a decorative knot. The denomination L. 50 is inscribed flanking the shield, with 'L' to the left and '50' to the right within the wreath. A six-pointed star radiates above the crown at the top of the field, and the mint mark 'R' for the Rome Mint appears in the lower exergue beneath the wreath. A continuous beaded border frames the entire design.
