Reverse description The reverse depicts a monumental reclining giant figure lying within or before the walls of a fortified castle, an iconographic reference to the Book of Job and the theme of divine peace. A crocodile is shown to the left of the composition and a lion to the right, both rendered in low relief along the lower edge. The hand of God, extended from above, dominates the upper field as a symbol of divine benediction and the Peace of the Lord. The legend CITTA DEL VATICANO and the denomination L. 50, along with the engraver's name VEROI, appear around the periphery of the field.
