| Obverse description | Green intaglio print on a fine guilloche underprint. At left, an allegorical female figure seated on a pedestal holding a child, framed by ornate architectural borders. The bank name BANCA D'ITALIA and denomination LIRE CINQUANTA are inscribed in large letterpress across the centre, with the clause PAGABILI A VISTA AL PORTATORE below.
