| Obverse description | The central field features a richly detailed cartographic and pictorial composition depicting the ancient Silk Road trade route, rendered in high relief with an oxidized finish. A stylized map stretches across the field, populated with vignettes of landmark monuments, caravans of camels and horses, and place names including Istanbul, Ankara, Antakya, Iran, Xian, and others, evoking the full extent of the historic route.
