Comments

The Okrožni NOO za Baško was one of dozens of district-level partisan administrative committees operating across Yugoslav-controlled territory during the final years of the Axis occupation. These committees issued their own emergency scrip precisely because the partisan command structure, while increasingly organized, could not guarantee a unified currency supply to every district. The Baško issue was purely local — valid only within the committee's operational zone and worthless the moment political boundaries shifted.

Partisan scrip of this type was almost never formally redeemed. Most was simply abandoned or destroyed as the war ended and Tito's new federal authority consolidated monetary control.
