Obverse description The Bulgarian coat of arms appears centred at the top within a decorative vignette, set above an intricate guilloche underprint that covers the face of the note. The denomination inscription «ПЕТДЕСЕТЪ ЛЕВА ЗЛАТО» (Fifty Gold Leva) is rendered in Cyrillic script, with the issuing bank's legend arranged across the lower portion of the face. Ornamental geometric borders frame the entire composition in a style typical of early twentieth-century intaglio banknote printing.
