Obverse description The Bulgarian coat of arms appears centred at the top within a decorative vignette, set above an intricate guilloche underprint that covers the face of the note. The denomination inscription «ПЕТДЕСЕТЪ ЛЕВА ЗЛАТО» (Fifty Gold Leva) is rendered in Cyrillic script, with the issuing bank's legend arranged across the lower portion of the face. Ornamental geometric borders frame the entire composition in a style typical of early twentieth-century intaglio banknote printing.

Reverse description The Bulgarian coat of arms is centred within a diamond-shaped medallion, enclosed by an elaborate symmetrical guilloche pattern of interlocking floral and geometric rosettes printed in brown. The Cyrillic inscription «ПЕТДЕСЕТЪ ЛЕВА» arches across the upper portion, the large numeral «50» appears in each lower corner, and a forgery-warning text panel is positioned below the central medallion. Ornamental borders frame the entire reverse in a balanced, formal compositional arrangement.
