| Reverse description | Central effigy of the so-called 'Beauty of Durrës', a female bust with flowing, curled hair rendered in low relief, reproduced from an ancient Hellenistic mosaic discovered in Durrës (ancient Dyrrachium), Albania. The bust is set within a curved panel framed by decorative arched lines. Below the effigy, the denomination 50 LEKE is inscribed in two lines within a lower panel, separated from the central field by a horizontal rule. The rim is decorated with a row of small pellets and crescent ornaments. |
