Obverse description At center, the national coat of arms of the Republic of Moldova depicting a displayed eagle bearing on its breast an escutcheon charged with the traditional Moldovan aurochs head, sun, crescent, and star; the eagle holds an olive branch in its dexter talon and a scepter in its sinister talon, with a patriarchal cross in its beak. The legend 'REPUBLICA MOLDOVA' appears in the left and right fields respectively, reading upward on each side. The date '2026' is inscribed at the top of the field, and the denomination '50 LEI' is shown at the bottom, flanked by the fineness mark 'Ag 999' to the left and the weight '16,5 g' to the right.

The legend 'ION PELIVAN' is inscribed at the top of the field, with the birth and death years '1876 - 1954' below, and the commemorative inscription '150 de ani de la naștere' (150 years from birth) in the lower field.
